Back to nature, in the natural environment, not only will students learn aspects of ecology, but to treasure, appreciate and protect our environment. Nature is increasingly a strange environment for the modern youth. Time spent in this environment can be life changing, and extend the horizons of every individual. Many outdoor activities, with the addition of proven communication and cooperation training can help not only individuals within a group, but help the group as a whole. Key to our activities is challenges, teamwork, reflection, and fun!

 

Action and Reflection: Positive experiences help enormously with retention of anything learned. After all activities the experiences are discussed and reflected upon, so they can be integrated into the everyday life.

Cooperation: from a neuro-biological perspective, cooperation is clearly shown as an important  factor in the successful development of humanity. The new book by Joachim Bauer, “Prinzip Menschlichkeit – Warum wir von Natur aus kooperieren” (loosely translated - why it is inherent in humans to cooperate) is a wonderful read.
